Arrowhead Gateway

Small area Plan and CorridoR sTUDY

PROJECT
PURPOSE

In partnership with the local community, the City of Hartford is developing a compelling and cohesive redevelopment strategy for the Arrowhead Gateway. The end result of this planning process will be a master plan that responds to community needs, revives the neighborhood’s historic urban fabric, establishes a unique destination and sense of place, and unites the Clay Arsenal Neighborhood and Downtown Hartford.

About

READ THE FINAL PLAN!

The Arrowhead Gateway Small Area Plan and Corridor Study was developed through a year-long, community-based planning process that included comprehensive existing conditions and market analyses as well as multiple touchpoints for direct community engagement. Using the findings from theses analyses and community feedback, the Plan outlines several Small Area Plan Alternatives for the re-design of the Arrowhead Gateway and the Main Street and Albany Avenue corridors. It recommends a series of projects and policies to implement these plans and to advance community goals and needs.
